Support groups for foster carers
At Camden, we understand the importance of taking time out to reflect and focus on your wellbeing as a foster carer. That’s why we’ve created two regular forums to provide safe, supportive spaces where you can connect with others, share experiences and discuss concerns.
Coffee mornings
Our coffee mornings offer a secure, welcoming space for foster carers to pause, connect and share experiences with others who truly understand fostering life.
Each session is a drop-in, so you don't need to book and you can arrive whenever you want to. Service managers join for the last 30 minutes to address key topics and give any service updates.
These sessions are informal and supportive, giving carers the chance to talk openly, ask questions, and learn from one another in a safe and understanding environment. Whether you are new to fostering or have many years of experience, you will be warmly welcomed.
There's no booking required. You can attend as often as you like – whether every month or just when it suits you.
- When: every second Tuesday of the month, 10:30am-12pm

Tea and Talking
Hosted by Camden’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team, Tea and Talking sessions are led by 2 clinicians and designed to help foster carers reflect on their experiences. These sessions provide a supportive space to discuss challenges and build connections with other carers.
Each session is a drop-in, so you don't need to book and you can arrive whenever you want to.
- When: last Thursday of the month, 10:30am-12pm
- Where: 3rd Floor, Crowndale Centre, Eversholt Street, NW1 1BD
We look forward to welcoming you to these sessions, where you can recharge, share and grow together.
